Kristen Barker

President & Co-Founder, Coop Cincy

Kristen Barker represents Co-op Cincy in Seed Common’s Full Member Assembly, on the Board, and on the Sustainability Committee and has served in those roles since January 2020. Kristen is the Executive Director and a Co-Founder of Co-op Cincy (f/k/a Cincinnati Union Co- op Initiative), having served in that role since July 2013. Kristen is also the interim CEO of Our Harvest, a Cincinnati farm and food justice worker-owned cooperative. Prior to becoming Co-op Cincy’s Executive Director, Kristen spent 12 years at the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center fostering partnerships between people of faith, union members and community members of diverse backgrounds. Kristen is a 2016-2018 Fellow of Business Alliance for Local and Living Economies (BALLE), a network of socially responsible businesses, comprised of over 80 community networks throughout North America representing over 22,000 independent business members across the U.S. and Canada. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Theology and Peace Studies from Xavier University.
