Cooperation Cincy to premiere new documentary film highlighting their work
On October 4th, 2024, Seed Commons network member Cooperation Cincy will host a premiere screening of "Works for All: A Celebration of Cincinnati's Co-op Economy Through Film" at their annual gathering. The film, created by Mark Dworkin and Melissa Young (the team behind the award winning feature Shift Change: Putting Democracy to Work), explores how the worker cooperative ecosystem has grown in Cincinnati through education, organizing, and business support.
"Co-op Cincy has been plowing new ground, both literally and figuratively, sowing the seeds for a better future since 2011, and Works for All gives us first-person accounts about the power of worker-ownership from these workers themselves."

“As a film about co-ops, this one is a must-see. It is unique and important in that it highlights both the role that unions have played in supporting co-op development, and it looks at the context of building co-ops in struggling communities, where many of those involved are people of color.”
